Escape to The Continental Club
A restorative escape at The Continental Club can feel like stepping out of time. After carving out some much‑needed me time, I drifted between its most indulgent spaces—the serene Roman Bath of Trajan, where warm stone and still water quiet the mind; the refined Members Lounge, a cocoon of low firelight and deep chairs perfect for lingering; and the open‑air Jupiter Terrace, where the sky becomes part of the experience and wine isn’t the only thing on the menu.
It also became the setting for my first black‑and‑white photography, a quiet attempt to capture the stillness that had settled into my bones. In that moment, the camera felt less like a tool and more like a way of honoring the calm I’d found.
Together, these spaces turned my birthday weekend into a personal retreat, a reminder of how good it feels to slow down and just breathe.
